Sehore – Bossa Velha
Sehore is a Latin rock specialist. Captures the essence of dance, blues, and moody rock all at once with their music. Latest release is the ‘Husfigbur’ album that collates alt rock gems one after the other. It’s such an artistic expanse. Taken from it is ‘Bossa Velha’, a track that introduces the signature vibe of the artist, keeping the fluidity open. The track is so fresh, tropical in its flow with the playful beats, flirty grooves and cheeky melodies. An atmospheric riff frame comes on, creating a stormy and intense mood, before we are grabbed and pulled into the light-hearted, feel-good and free island groove that you can just float into.

Mortez – River Runnin
Imagine the theme, ‘River Runnin’, manifesting in its wildest, most natural and stormy scene. That’s exactly how this latest release from Mortez sounds. Opening with a soulful, classic rock intro, the track becomes an extraordinary alt rock spectacle. Progressing with an infinite riff reservoir, a deep and rising bass cover, and dark vocal inserts, it is retro, gritty, intense and raw. That coarse wind and grainy tide will keep splashing into you, rocking the boat. There’s a lot of layers, a complexity that comes out like that. It is so unhinged and passionate, it comes alive in the rhythm; the emotion just swirling about and keeping it all real.
Particle X – Repression
Particle X’s latest release, ‘Repression’ readily reinforces this intensity. With blazing basslines, and riff heavy beams, the rock song is affecting. It is sentimental, contemplative; its sincerity spilling out with a vulnerability that is staggering. That rhythmic drive, the punch of the beats, and the drifting force. It’s all so dramatic, big picture and extraordinary. The will to play and perform is inspiring and it takes over the energy in the room, and the atmosphere of the mind. There’s hard rock with that Linkin Park-esque emotional depth. But there’s also an alt rock variation that takes you out of it and brings you back.
