Allan Jamisen – closing in

Allan Jamisen elevates the indie genre to a new level of artistry. With his latest release, ‘Closing In’, the artist explores a mellow, surreal energy plane. And weaving through this are moody melodies, electronic features, and wiry grooves. It’s like journeying through abstract visual art. There’s a glaze coming off of the music that illuminates the mind. It’s a cerebral circle that moves as if in an optical illusion. The riffs are set to flow in soft progressions. It’s a rich soundscape because the music forms on so many levels. There is a lot of concept, incredible technique and layers that the music evolves into. All of this is then wrapped up in a gentle spiralling rhythm. If you enjoy moods set by artists like Nick Cave and Tame Impala, you’re sure to enjoy the dark storytelling and fantastically simple soundscape of this track.

Motihari Brigade – The Great Refusal

Motihari Brigade is a rock n roll band that keeps on going. The grooves are their religion and the riffs their prayers. Being present in their soundscape means to be consumed by it. Known for their rebellious spirit and concept, this track reveals a fresh gradient of it. In their single, ‘The Great Refusal’ they explore resistance with the glamour and drive of rock n roll. Power riffs and splashy basslines shuffled in with moments of smooth grooves. All tied in with an anthemic vocal frame. You’ll see a punk ethos emerging within rock n roll. It’s remarkable because it is latent, yet expansive in the underbelly of the track. It fluidly gels with the grooves and the blues, the riffs and the basslines to make itself felt.

Bill Barlow – Time Stands Still

Bill Barlow’s style is remarkable. He wraps food for thought with a powerful musical force. Known for his remarkable genre-blending and musical nuance, he is definitely going to leave an impression on you. His latest release is the ‘Trouble Being Human’ album, a collection that journeys through various styles to capture the issues of the modern world. Taken from this is ‘Time Stands Still’, a rock production that sweeps powerfully through. Tight riffs are blended with neoclassical sentiments. The bass floods the scene, rolls out like a red carpet. And tying the power with the feeling is the artist’s evocative vocals. It dives into the theme, driving into its layers with passion. You feel it all. The spirit and the energy, anchored by the rock and buoyed by the melodic atmosphere.

Billy Caveman – Thou Carest Lord

Billy Caveman throws it all the way back to the 60s with his rock. There is culture. There is revolution. And there is so much passion. That’s the ethos of his music. His latest release is ‘Thou Carest Lord’, a transcendental classic rock track that is reminiscent of a Beatlesque/ Bob Dylan rock style but also carries the experimental and sound explorative style of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. The result? It’s given rise to your next favorite track. With a runtime of two and a half minutes, it tackles and dives into such rich flavors of rock. It is rich, blazing and has powerful tunnels into surreal spaces. The artist believes that music is a feeling and that’s the expansiveness he brings to the composition. Listen Now!
