This Week’s ‘Spring Folklore’ is Dedicated to Delightful Acoustic Blues

By

Danny Hammons – Back to Colorado

Danny Hammons is a singer-songwriter and alt folk artist. His songs are magical spells that transport you to the emotion, place, or experience that he sings of. His latest release is ‘Back to Colorado’, a track that explores and appreciates the scenic beauty of Colorado with a lens of homesickness. The acoustics, vocals, and the frames are drenched in pure melancholy. It is cozy, fond, and a sense of home pours out of it all. The vocal fabric is especially heartwarming. The way Danny holds the place and the emotion in his buttery voice is easily the best thing you hear all day. If you’re missing the mountains or missing home, the track will stand in the feeling with you. Not only that but it will expand it to encompass your whole body.

Ker – There Are No Words

If you’re in the mood to just be, float into a feel-good song, then Ker’s ‘There Are No Words’ will be perfect for you. Even this track has that dreamy and romantic feel of the previous track. The warm baritones inflate and grow into the soundscape. With a jingling country folk instrumental framework, it becomes boundless in its effect and comforting in its journey. Electric guitar chords beautifully touch upon country blues. They are plush and full of life. Drawing from this, the vocals keep getting more and more lush, detailed and immersive. Listen Now!

Wattmore – It’s Called Love …. It’s Called The Blues

Wattmore and Allan Caswell have released ‘It’s Called Love … It’s Called The Blues’. A track that is raw and full of that rustic blues charm. The artists journey back to the retro era, reviving the charm of the sound with a modern idea. The guitar is made with that dynamic blues sound. There’s a cinematic layer to the soundscape, a performative set up that completely shuts out the rest of the world. And the vocals do quite a bit to build on this reality. Low tonal, charismatic and matched well with the walking bass groove, it celebrates the blues swimmingly.
