James Zero – HEAVENSENT
James Zero’s ‘HEAVENSENT’ is a pop rock anthem with an immersive emo atmosphere all around it. The song is filled with scrumptious riffs that blur realities and pulls you into the blur of feelings and fantastical emotions. Its bass lines are heavy and rounding, constantly uplifting and energizing. There are some Y2K influences coursing through it, like a Red Hot Chilli Peppers influence, which is made more coarse and youthful with this striking emo quotient. It’s electric but also melancholic. The artist makes this journey so well, so smooth. It feels natural and refreshing, and you end up wanting more of it. More of its heat, more of its emo, more of its anthem.
Samuel Yuri – Wind Before the Storm
Ending this week’s list is Samuel Yuri’s ‘Wind Before the Storm’, a cinematic alt rock track that pulls you into an era far into the past. The atmosphere broils with myths and legends, like from the ancient age. Its saga goes through you, sparks all these fantastic imagery of the heavens, sea, hell, and the storms. The protagonist is a great part of this scene. His consciousness and experience expands into the electric guitar scene. The bass are like blocks, like solid earth that keep coming together. Riffs spark mysteries, prophesies, that float into the scene and glow with an incredible story. It’s such a great way to become transported. It’s not a song that you just listen to. But it becomes a scene that you can draw from. Listen Now!
