This Week’s ‘Riffs & Roads’ Explore the Progressive Alternative

By

Torre di fine – understatic

Torre di fine is an alt rock band. They have extraordinary visions that they bring to life with atmospheric instrumentals, mercurial pulses, and blurred rhythms. In their track, ‘Understatic’, they create a progressive tapestry of rock. Opening with an enchanting pop vocal frame, the backdrop slowly expands with mellow riffs and forming beats. It has a dark luminescence. They then carve it with texture. Stormy riffs, spatial guitar work, and a sweeping synth dimension all drive the song to a whole new level of hearing. It is deepened with nu metal features, thrashing beats and basslines, and crescending chord shreds that keep driving you into their surreal and fantastical music.

Frankie Muriel – I’m Still Standing

Frankie Muriel is all charisma and warm charm. His rock n roll is from the golden age, standing tall with its stylistic authenticity and groovy glory. His latest release is ‘I’m Still Standing’, an anthemic track that has the energy and emotion to unite massive stadiums and clubs into a screaming chorus. The guitar work is rugged and rough. This texture is absorbed by the baritonal gruff of his vocals and the crisp deliveries. The roll comes in the whistling melodic hooks and the smooth harmonies. It is fun, edgy, soul-forward, and a retro rock celebration that’ll whirl your mind like time travel. And the progressions leading to the climax is layered to progress drastically and dramatically to an explosive end!

Love Ghost – Car Crash

Love Ghost’s ‘Car Crash’ is the ending that this week’s list needs. With his warm and reflective vocal affliction alongside a mellow piano line and acoustic riffs, the song can be very settling. It has a soft expanse, soothing highs and a smoothened feel. The track, exploring a doomed love, has a melancholic and resigned feel. It’s great songwriting, especially in the way it journeys through the theme. The production is aligned with the performance, simple yet gushing with emotion. That kind of natural richness, that feels pleasing and authentic. Listen Now!
