It starts at a 100, emphatic and full of a boldness that instantly changes you. And then it keeps it going. Keeps up the build, the rhythm and the show. Think Queen’s style blended with the atmospheric and arena feel of The Gathering, AC/DC, and Lacuna Coil. That hot and urgent build of massive choruses and cinematic riffs has an electric effect. It’s vast and expanding with color, creativity and power. The three pillars are done well, done without holding anything back.

The chords are consistent and the melodies and fluid as they travel through the soundscape. It is melodramatic and expressive in a sort of numbing way. In a way that you can just zone out into and a whole world reveals itself in that space. The vocals also travel through the soundscape in a daze, as if lost in the feeling and in the memories that it is singing about. That immersive journey of the vocals, makes it immersive for the listener. Makes it transporting for the listener. As you listen to the song, the lament in the vocals and the power of the soundscape really heightens the vulnerable state. You’ll see the self unravel in the midst of heartache, trying to pick up the pieces and also understand the new reality. The song is meant to be cathartic, to indulge the darkest spaces and thoughts of the mind and get it all out. You can see it reflected in the mood and power of the music. The lyrics might indicate an inbetween state but there’s also an empowered state that is forming in the wake of that. You can sense it in the music.
