The Theos Variant – Beacons
The Theos Variant is an alt rock band with a rugged pulse and a hard hitting sound. Their music is made immersive, detailed as they are with vivid ideas, progressing visuals, and cinematic production. ‘Beacons’ is their latest single, a dark and edgy song from the future. The riffs are magnetic and the vocals even more so. Hypnotising textures meet slow rhythm spirals. They draw you in as if to devour you. And you let it happen because the music is just so good. The darkness is thick and layered. It has gradients, textures, and dimensions to it. Nu metal accents that run deep at the bedrock, bursting out into an explosive alt rock peak. There’s haunting echoes, hanging chats, all of them culminating in a long standing suspense that you get hooked to so fast. Because it’s so good. Listen Now!
Haus of Sound – Madness
Haus of Sound follows with ‘Madness’, a pop punk color. A contrast with bouncing beats, sequencing riffs, rolling grooves, and anthemic vocals. The contrast between the two tracks only highlights their common spaces and aligned ethos. The dark hemispheres of madness are displayed with energy and a vibrant spirit. The vocals have their own plane, the coarse depth and expression reminiscent of Miley Cyrus. And with instrumentals that are so complex and compelling, the song becomes an instant favorite. The band have such fresh takes, a sense of individuality and distinctive style that works in their favor. They have their madness and they are proud and even passionate about it. That’s what gets passed on to the listener.
Anupam Shobhakar – Ladder to the Sky
Anupam Shobhakar has some interesting ideas that he brings to life with alternative fusions and astounding visuals. His latest is the ‘Liquid Reality’ album where he causes a collision between Hindu faith, mythology, psychedelics, and a prog rock dynamic. ‘Ladder to the Sky’ explores elevating yourself to supreme consciousness. With mercurial guitar planes, electric solos, fresh vocals, classical instrumentals and acoustic oasis, he splashes the concept to create free art. It is cerebral, warping, and transporting. By the end of the first minute, you’re no longer anywhere near where you started. The reality is constantly rearranged and revolving, riffs dissipating into jazz blues, acoustic folk, back to electric, tearing riffs again. And like that, he keeps on keeping on till you’re way past the sky.
