This week’s Cerebral Rock List boasts beautiful atmospheric quotients

By

Our Cerebral rock playlist is for those moments that you want to live in and never want to leave. The songs contain so many dimensions, cerebral and emotional that it immerses you, drenches you, and takes you on a well-made journey.

This week’s under the Cerebral Rock Picks are like that. They’ll make you want to down in your travel and just take it all in. The moments, the time, the mood, the ambience.

Gianfranco Malorgio – WOP

The track creates a mellow ambience, an instrumental tail that flows and disperses into the atmosphere. From that crest, emotions rise and fall like a landscape. There are moments of somber peace and pensive valleys melting into each other and carrying into a dim twilight at the edge of the soundscape. There is nothing else like a well made instrumental. And Malorgio knows it! It is complex without being cumbersome. It clarifies the artist’s vision, his state of mind and his experience even without the lyrical quotient. Giving yourself to it is definitely worth the journey and the hour. Listen Now!

Rainy Days – New Captain Clutter

Rainy Days carve out a viscerally poetic world with their latest track, ‘New Captain Clutter’. It tells the story of a girl who had it all in love and gave it up. Now, she’s trying to pick up the pieces and return to a place of trust and love with her partner. Using fairy tale mysticism and imagery, the band explores the dark side, a forlorn state of regret. Because once something is broken, it can never go back to the way it used to be. As she hopefully seeks for this paradise, the guitar melodies and dreamy synths pave a fantastical and adventurous road, one that she needs to scale.

Cate Von Csoke – Stormy Weather

Cate Von is a cinematic artist who fathoms worlds that form in the mind, in the stories, in the feeling. So that means, an ambient experience, an expanse that swallows you into it. It compels you to leave the world you exist in to travel into a new dimension of consciousness. Her release, ‘Stormy Weather’ creates a twilight sky that slathers everything it touches, including your mind. It forms in that space between darkness and light. She uses ethereal imagery and illusions, her vocals a disembodied presence. It undulates like the ocean in the backdrop, pools into moments of silence and then disperses into a contemplative daze.
