Our cerebral rock craft is meant to evoke a deep, transformative scene. One that will make you imbibe the journey into your person. For floating through cities and towns is not what travel is about. But living through them enough for them to become a piece of you. That’s what this playlist does. Creates space for meaningful experiences.
Soulish – Wicked Scene
Soulish taps into a whole new plane of psychedelia. The stylistic variance, the sonic perspectives, and the listening experience is all transformed. As an indie band, they value and honor the fluidity that comes with the genre, blending psychedelic rock with soul themes in ways that have never been done before. Their latest release is ‘Wicked Scene’, a track that casts a gloomy complexity. But looking at it from a different angle, it can become the dreamiest, most surreal flow. With coarse riff flows, electric melodies and solos, and the vocal depth, they put so much into the landscape, so much into the scene that wickedness will lose its duality and become blurry with empathy and beauty.
Flange Dino – Andare Via
Lucid-eyed nostalgia. That’s the essence of Italian artist and singer-songwriter, Dino Flange. He cruises along the blues coast with smooth rock and tingling blues. There is an expanse to his style that instantly absorbs into the soundscape as well. He debuts with ‘Andare Via’, a track that gently warps the mind. With mellow melody planes warping ever so slightly, transforming at every turn, you just become a part of a mercurial force. And his vocals emerge from a deep place, a place of personal emotion and deep intimacy. From a place where time is buried and memories bubble. And even if you don’t understand the language, the emotion will make sense. Not just that, it will speak to you.
Atrem – Times (Axis)
With Artem, it is always a mystery. Always a sonic puzzle that you will have to flow with to finally get to the end, to the thematic climax, which can be just as confounding. The Japanese post rock duo love to sow seeds for contemplation, and creative thought. Their latest single explores the nature of time. With rotating rhythms, spinning production patterns, and circular melodic loops, the soundscape is filled with small infinities. Post rock is delightfully contemporary with smooth planes leading to fluid rock planes and instrumental formations. And as you progress, the climax gets quite grand, dramatic, and full of sensibilities. Like an epiphanic rush that grants you magic.
